#207: Multiplex 10 Is About to Explode!

February 21, 2008

Notes from the Manager

Yes, it's true. Or, actually, it's only half-true: they're making two films based on Katsuhiro Otomo's Akira -- and the first is being fast tracked for a summer 2009 release. And, yes, I know the comics came first (or started first, since the movie came out while the story was still being serialized), so it's really based on those, not the movie, but Kurt isn't into comics, so it's the sort of detail he wouldn't really know about. (The real reason: I needed to keep that line shorter to fit in the balloon, so I had Kurt gloss those aspects of the news item over in order to get to the yelling quicker.)

Multiplex 10 is here!

Although Multiplex 10 has ended, an animated prequel/reboot called Multiplex 10 was funded through Kickstarter in 2017 and is NOW AVAILABLE for rent or purchase on Vimeo On Demand, Amazon Video, and elsewhere! And an all-new, irregularly-updated Multiplex 10 web series (set after the short film) recently launched on YouTube! Learn more about the web series on the official Multiplex 10 website!
